Sony’s weird-looking — but pretty good! — Tablet S has only been out for four months, and Sony’s already slashing the price by $US100. It seems Sony, like other manufacturers, was a tad optimistic on what people are willing to pay for an Android tablet. AU: We’re checking with Sony to see if Australia will get the price drop too.
Sony has just released an 18MB update to their Tablet S that improves Wi-Fi connectivity, GPS and notifications. It also finally adds official support for using a PS3 wireless controller, a vast improvement to playing games using on-screen controls.
Shaped like a folded over magazine, Sony’s Tablet S is maybe the weirdest looking tablet we’ve ever seen. But it’s also the most comfortable.
