Thanko’s Lazy Geek’s Cushion, Perfect for Prone PC Action
6:52PM Gizmodo US Edition | Ages ago I admitted to being a floor-lounger, and it looks like Thanko has come up with a solution that’ll let me combine lazing around and blogging for the Giz at the same time. I might rename it from Lazy Geek’s Cushion to “Relaxed Blogger’s Desk” though. Looking a little like a massage table, it’s 78 x 48 cms across, and can be propped up at a variety of angles from flat to about 30 degrees so your arms reach your notebook… and see that little space for your chin? Looks comfy. No info on pricing, but I’d love to import one. I’d just have to persuade my wife that it’s a good idea, and not ugly at all. [Akihabaranews] More »

Air Conditioned Seat Cushion Features The Latest In Eco-Friendly Ass-Cooling Technology
6:30AM Sean Fallon | Kuchofuku, the same company that brought us air conditioned shirts, has re-applied their groundbreaking technology in an effort to deliver us from one of the biggest problems facing mankind today. Of course I am speaking about arse sweat. In fact, their air conditioned seat cushion line can pump up to 170 litres of air per minute through the seat using an extraordinarily low amount of electricity in the process. More »

Pump-Up Laptop Cushion Keeps Burning Metal Away From Tender Flesh
4:50AM Jason Chen | The laptop stands we’ve used are great for keeping your supple thighs away from your burning laptop, but are usually fairly heavy and hard on your legs. This Airboard, however, has an inflatable base to gently sit on your lap, while at the same time providing ample distance so your leg hairs don’t char. It’s only a design, but is neat enough that if someone made a laptop stand like this, we’d have a hard time passing it up in stores. [Yanko Design] More »

ZipZip Floor Cushions Zip Together For Sofa Fun
3:44AM Gizmodo US Edition | I admit it: I’m a frequent floor-lounger … so these interlocking cushions from Pling Collection would be ideal furniture for me. ZipZip’s 30-inch upholstered pads have zips on all four sides, you see. So you can choose to make one huge floor cover, for, you know, generalized laying about, or combine them more sensibly into different chair-shaped things. Special pads even have a hole for a planter or a stowage pocket: handy for TV remotes, I reckon. Think of the possibilities! galleryPost('zipzip', 3, ''); More »

Dosugus Cushion From Art. Lebedev: Look Closely (Optimus.jpg?)
12:00PM Sean Fallon | As a cushion, the DOS-inspired Dosugus from Art. Lebedev is definitely something I can see resting my geeky head on. But the most interesting thing about it is what is actually listed in the directories. Optimus.jpg, Trojan.exe, and “pron” to name a few. Is it just a joke or are they trying to say something here? You decide. Available now for $28. [Product Page via TFTS] More »
Boob-Shaped Cushions Could Almost Turn Me Lesbian
12:36AM Addy Dugdale | Most people think that all boobs are cushions, but these Funwari Milk-chan, or Fluffy Milk, are real boob cushions. Like the real thing, they come in all different shapes and sizes. Unlike the real thing, however, they’re furry. There are five different boobs to choose from, each with its own character: More »
Self-Cooling Seat Cushion, Cure for the Hot Butt
5:10AM Charlie White | You’re probably sitting in a seat right now that’s getting unbearably hot, struggling with the hot butt phenomenon and wishing you had a Self-Cooling Seat Cushion like this one. It does its cooling passively without any power requirements like that cool-or-heat temperature controlled seat we showed you last year. Although this one sounds like some sort of fanny fatigue-relieving miracle, its makers claim its secret has a scientific basis, using unnamed natural mineral crystals inside with a melting point that “produces a slow, soothing cooling.” More »
