It’s Australia Day. There’s a good chance many of you are sitting back, beer in hand listening to Triple J’s Hottest 100. Others may be listening to Whispering Jack on repeat (It’s okay, we’ve all been there). The point is that music on Australia day is as Australian as Anzac biscuits. Which makes Lifehacker’s monstrous study of Australian music availability on iTunes so much more pertinent.
If you own a TiVo and are really, really, really, really desperate for entertainment tomorrow, TiVo is offering a free rental of Australian film Somersault via their CASPA service to celebrate Australia Day.
When you think Australia Day, what do you think? Roast lamb? Bogans? Triple J’s Hottest 100? Or maybe netbooks, like the HP Mini 210 range that’s launching on Australia Day.
It’s Friday Afternoon before a long weekend. You shouldn’t be working – you should be letting your mind begin the celebrations your body will enjoy later this evening and over the next few days. But what will those celebrations be? Anyone planning a big tech-themed party? Anyone working on creating the ultimate cyborg warrior to enslave mankind?
Me, I’ll be sitting back and rocking on Guitar Hero World Tour. All weekend. I’m planning on taking my drumming skill to the next level (which would be medium. Hey, I only got the game two days ago, give me a break!)
Let us know your weekend plans, tech-related or otherwise, in comments…
