Amazon’s adaptation of Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett’s Good Omens has a truly remarkable cast – but even then, rarely does it get as good as casting Jon Hamm as the Angel Gabriel. Now we know what he’s going to look like, and it’s pretty damn fabulous.

Good Omens co-author Gaiman excitedly shared the first-look image on Twitter this morning, after some teasing, declaring it “a thing of beauty, and a joy for ever,” which is pretty accurate.
I suppose you are wondering, IN THE UPCOMING GOOD OMENS TV SERIES CURRENTLY BEING FILMED WHAT DOES THE ANGEL GABRIEL (played by Jon Hamm) LOOK LIKE? You are, aren’t you?

So for you, for me, for all of us. FOR PEOPLE NOT YET BORN. This is what Jon Hamm looks like as the Angel Gabriel in the upcoming TV series of GOOD OMENS. A thing of beauty, and a joy for ever. pic.twitter.com/OK84PDZXLs

Sure, it’s just a picture of Jon Hamm in some very nice clothes, but you can tell it’s delightful, mainly because it’s a picture of Jon Hamm. But also it’s worth remembering that, unlike in the actual novel, Hamm’s Gabriel will have a more prominent arc on the TV series, lifting ideas Gaiman and Pratchett had for a sequel to the book that never happened. So get used to the above Hamm-ness – you’ll be seeing a lot of it when Good Omens hits Amazon Video worldwide and the BBC in the UK in 2019.
