Lighting 10,000 Sparklers at Once Is the Best Way To Ring in the New Year

Today in "amazing ideas the internet had" we bring you an experiment that is without a doubt the best way to celebrate the end of 2015 and an even better way to usher in 2016. One sparkler is fun, but 10,000 igniting at the same time? That's a science experiment you have to see.

Every kid has wondered what it would be like to fill a bucket with thousands of match heads. It's the grade school equivalent of the Manhattan Project. But few of us have postulated doing the same with sparklers. And that's too bad, because the results are spectacular. Sparklers have always been the lame duck little sibling to fireworks, but not any more.

it would have been if he had thrown a few C02 cannisters into the mix too.

I like how they thought a single layer of aluminium foil was going to be enough to protect the pot. I wonder what happened to it.

      would have melted away.
Used to melt coins with just a few sparklers

Great now the Fun police will ban sparklers too
