Coming Soon: Finding Dory, Warcraft, New Star Wars Footage

Welcome to the trailer park! This week: Ellen hits us right in the childhood with a new Finding Dory clip, Warcraft shows off some epic graphics and Rupert Grint and Rob Perlman team up to fake a moon landing.

Finding Dory

For those of us who have been waiting for this film for more than ten years.

Synopsis:
“The friendly-but-forgetful blue tang fish reunites with her loved ones, and everyone learns a few things about the true meaning of family along the way.”

Warcraft

This film looks like it could be amazing, even for non-Warcraft players.

Synopsis:
“The film portrays the origin story of the initial encounters between the humans and the orcs, with an emphasis upon both the Alliance’s and the Horde’s sides of their conflict. Featuring characters such as Durotan and Lothar, the film will take place in a variety of locations established in the video game series.”

Star Wars: The Force Awakens International Trailer

The heavily awaited movie’s Japanese trailer includes a whole heap of new footage. There’s also a new TV spot:

Synopsis:
“A continuation of the saga created by George Lucas and set thirty years after Star Wars: Episode VI – Return of the Jedi (1983)”

Moonwalkers

Said to be “based on a true conspiracy theory”, Moonwalkers is the story of a CIA agent and a rock manager trying to track down Stanley Kubrick to fake the moon landings.

Synopsis:
“What if Apollo 11 never actually made it? What if, in reality, Stanley Kubrick secretly shot the famous images of the moon landing in a studio, working for the US administration? This is the premise of a totally plausible conspiracy theory that takes us to swinging sixties London, where a stubborn CIA agent will never find Kubrick but instead is forced to team up with a lousy manager of a seedy rock band to develop the biggest con of all time, in this riotous, high-tempo action-comedy. ”

400 Days

While most of the movies we’re used to seeing from Syfy are along the lines of Sharknado, this one actually looks good somehow.

Synopsis:
“400 Days is a psychological sci-fi film centering on four astronauts who are sent on a simulated mission to a distant planet to test the psychological effects of deep space travel. Locked away for 400 days, the crew’s mental state begins to deteriorate when they lose all communication with the outside world. Forced to exit the ship, they discover that this mission may not have been a simulation after all.”

My Big Fat Greek Wedding

Love it or hate it, it’s a cultural icon, and it’s back.

Synopsis:
“After spending most of their time focusing on their troubling teenage daughter, Toula and Ian (John Corbett, Nia Vardalos) are facing marital problems while also having to deal with yet another Greek wedding – this time, even bigger and fatter. ”

Alice Through The Looking Glass

Disney’s making a sequel to its decidedly average live action Alice in Wonderland film.

Synopsis:
“Directed by James Bobin (The Muppets) with a screenplay by Linda Woolverton (Maleficent, Alice In Wonderland, Beauty and the Beast), the film “revisits Lewis Carroll’s beloved stories with an all-new new tale that travels back to Underland—and back in Time.” Sacha Baron Cohen as Time and Rhys Ifans as the Mad Hatter’s father Zanik Hightopp, join the returning cast, which includes Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter – Hatter Tarrant Hightopp, Anne Hathaway as the White Queen – Mirana, Helena Bonham Carter as the Red Queen, Mia Wasikowska as the title character of Alice Kingsleigh, Matt Lucas as Tweedledee and Tweedledum, with Stephen Fry as the Cheshire Cat, and a score by Danny Elfman. “
