Pornhub’s NSFW vision is to send up two actors and a crew in a shuttle to make a movie, sometime in late 2016. To make this happen, Pornhub has launched an Indiegogo campaign, hoping to raise some $US3.4 million, with most of the costs going towards buying out all the seats on some kind of private spacecraft (no word on which company), making special stain-proof spacesuits, and adapting camera gear and poor lighting so that it works equally well in space. https://vimeo.com/130377725
But this isn’t just some begging handout: in return for backing Pornhub’s campaign, you get rewards. These include:
- A Certificate of Endorsement for you to hang over the fireplace in your sex dungeon ($US1)
- A Pornhub swag bag, including a Pornhub Space Program™ t-shirt ($US100)
- An invite to the sex tape launch party! ($US10,000)
- A spacesuit and underwear from one of the sextronauts, only worn once ($US150,000)
One plus point for Pornhub is that it’s going all-in on the campaign, using Indiegogo’s fixed funding option. That means it only gets the money if the campaign reaches the $US3.4 million goal; otherwise, it’s all returned to donors. So, this might just be a publicity stunt, but at least it’s an honest one.
