Hobart Airport Hacked By ISIS Supporters

ISIS is the worst. A group of hackers who support the so-called death cult defaced Hobart Airport’s website this morning with ISIS support messages as part of a series of attacks around the web.

Tasmania Police confirmed that around 5:30am this morning they were notified of the hack, which saw the Hobart Airport website defaced with messages of support for ISIS.

According to the police statement, “the group claiming responsibility for the hacking appear to non-discriminately target organisations who use web hosts such as the one used by Hobart International Airport”. Hobart Airport is currently hosted by NetRegistry according to a WHOIS search.

No threats were made to the airport itself, nor were flights affected.

The website is still offline at the time of writing, with Hobart Airport advising visitors to check flight times with the relevant airlines.

Investigations are ongoing according to Tasmania Police.
