This Stackable Wire Chair Is Beautifully Simple

Sometimes, simplicity can make an already wonderful idea better. In this case, designer Daniel Lau has stripped the concept of the average stacking chair right back to — quite literally — its wireframe. And the result is beautiful.

The Kai chair was designed and made in Britain. Its simple wire frame takes a striking chevron form, and comes powder-coated in a wide variety of colours, which should allow it to blend in pretty much anywhere. Being powder coated, it can be used outside too.

The chair was in fact a collaboration with And Then Design, so it will be available for purchase. Pricing and availability are currently not yet known. [Daniel Lau via Design Milk]
