Developer: There’s Code In iOS 8 For Split-Screen Multitasking

An app developer says he’s found code in iOS 8’s SpringBoard, the hidden app that manages the homescreen, that offers the ability to run two apps side-by-side.

Not only does the code let you split the screen in two with an app on each side, but you can also go one-quarter or three-quarters size, allowing for all kinds of screen arrangements. We’ve heard tell of this one coming, but it will still be a cool feature, when it almost inevitably sees the light of day. [@stroughtonsmith]
