Stan ‘The Man’ Lee To Attend Sydney’s Supanova. ‘Nuff said!

Attention comic geeks! Supanova has announced that comic book legend Stan Lee will be heading to Australia for Sydney’s Supanova Expo (June 13-15). It will be the first time Stan the Man has visited our shores in almost 30 years.

Alongside various collaborators and artists (who sadly rarely got their due), Stan Lee is famous for creating some of the most iconic characters in comics, including Spider-Man, the Hulk, the Fantastic Four, Iron Man, Thor, the X-Men, the Avengers, Daredevil, Doctor Strange and the Silver Surfer.

At the ripe old age of 91, Lee will be making the arduous trip down under to attend this year’s Sydney Supanova Expo which runs between 13-15 June. Stan’s Supanova appearance is being billed as his “farewell tour” of Australia. We usually take these proclamations with a grain of salt, but when you consider his advanced age, this probably really is your last chance to see him in the flesh.

“We are Supa-privileged to host the man who innovated the phrase, “With great power comes great responsibility!” and has been responsible for so much joy and creativity over the last 70 odd years,” the event organisers explain on their website.

“With this Sydney only visit, we hope that interstate fans will join Sydneysiders in welcoming arguably the greatest creator name in comic book history.”

At present, tickets for the Sydney show have yet to go on sale. You can expect prices to start somewhere in the region of $50, although anything Stan Lee related is obviously going to involve a hefty premium. Watch this space!
