Forget sports, this is the only broadcast people watch just for the awesome ads and movie trailers. We’ve rounded them all up in one place for you.
24: Live Another Day
24 is going to be awesome. Just listen to that impassioned shout while shooting. #JackIsBack
The Amazing Spiderman 2
Electro. The Rhino. The Hobgoblin. All three get a quick run in this teaser trailer for The Amazing Spiderman 2. Expect a follow-up to this one later on today.
Update:
Here’s the full ‘Enemies Unite’ trailer.
Transformers 4
Optimus Prime. Riding a dinosaur. Which is also a robot. SOLD.
GoPro
Remember when Felix Baumgartner leapt from space back down to Earth? Turns out GoPro has been saving his suit-footage for the Superbowl. It’s amazing.
Hyundai
Hyundai wants to save you from hot girls.
Also, that guy from The Big Bang Theory.
Sonos
If someone ever asks you how multi-room streaming works, show them this ad.
Beats Music
Ellen Degeneres stars in an ad where she’s dancing with CGI animals to her Beats Music playlist. Sure.
She unveiled it on her show, so skip to about one-minute into the clip to see the ad. Keep in mind also that Beats Music is probably coming to Australia in April with Telstra.
Toyota
Getting carjacked is ok if you’re Terry Crews and the carjackers are Muppets.
Bud Light
Aussies don’t get Bud Light beer, but we do get the fact that being taken on an amazing adventure ride to get styled by Minka Kelly, play ping pong with Arnie and meet Don Cheadle’s llama would be pretty great. If only you could do that while drinking something decent.
Newcastle Brown Ale
Anna. Kendrick.
Jaguar
It’s true. All good villains are British, and they drive Jaguars.
Volkswagen
Every time a VW hits 100,000 miles, a VW engineer gets his wings. Something tells me this would lead to a pretty unsafe work environment…
Microsoft
This one is really inspiring. For all the shit we heap on tech companies for making crap, they’ve actually made some really inspiring stuff over the last few decades.
Ford Fusion
The closest thing we have to a Fusion in Australia is the Mondeo, only ours isn’t a hybrid because we’re not cool enough. Either way, Ford used the Superbowl as an excuse to do two ads to highlight that the Ford Fusion has double the fuel economy because hybrid. Warning: James Franco is in the second one.
Kia K900
This one has been out for a little while, and it shows Morpheus of The Matrix giving a motoring couple the choice between two different car keys before singing some opera. See if you can get through it.
Need For Speed
Starring: Jesse Pinkman, serious faces and gravity.
Captain America: The Winter Soldier
Whoa…
This one doesn’t let up. More action than your brain has room for. Crashing helicarriers (again), awesome Black Widow moves, shield throwing and car flipping are all in this new trailer for the new Captain America movie. We also get a good look at new S.H.I.E.L.D HQ in Washington D.C., the wings of the Falcon and The Winter Soldier himself.
Maserati Ghibli
Ghi…Gyb…Ghibilii…wait how do you say it? Oh who cares. This Maserati ad for the new Ghibli is rad. This might be the only sound that can drown out the amazing Jaguar ad that’s on the way.
Speaking of Jag, they’re throwing some shade on this one:
Did you know that #ghibli means hot air? Seems appropriate. CC: @Maserati_HQ #GoodToBeBad
