Sure, light painting is awesome when you’re doing long exposure shots with a PixelStick or something, but that’s only one way to cover your world in glowing graffiti. Take, for instance, this LED-powered rainbow plane.
Whipped up by Instructables user roballoba, the rainbow plane (planebow?) is a pretty involved process, but the results are worth it. At least if you happen to like tinkering, RC planes, and things that are psychedelic as hell. But if you’re not into making one yourself, roballoba’s got plenty of long exposures over on the Instructables page to help you get your fix. And if you really want some trippy visuals of your very own, you could always just do drugs and throw paper aeroplanes. But maybe the LEDs are a better bet. [Instructables via Hack a Day]
