LG’s 105-Inch Curved UltraHD LCD TV Is Just Bonkers

LG’s 105-Inch Curved UltraHD LCD TV Is Just Bonkers

LG has just revealed its new flagship curved LCD (as in, not OLED) screen — the largest curved LCD in existence — ahead of next January’s CES convention. Because why wouldn’t you you want 105 inches of curved UltraHD goodness? Oh right, you can’t afford it.

The 4K UltraHD 105UB9 is the world’s first curved LCD to offer a 21:9 aspect ratio (aka CinemaScope), will deliver breathtaking picture quality and an even wider viewing area than current HD sets can handle. The 5120 x 2160 resolution packs 11 million pixels and utilizes Thin Film Transistor (TFT) pixel circuit technology to prevent colour leakage that older models often suffer from.

LG is remaining mum on price and availability until CES actually starts but you can rest assured that neither you, nor you and everybody you know pooling your cash together, will be able to afford one.
