Apple is apparently holding a separate iPhone event in China on September 11, immediately after the US announcement on September 10. Those who enjoy reading in to such news might suggest that it’s further evidence that the long-fabled “budget iPhone” is indeed on its way.
Either that or there’s a dawning realisation that China is one giant market for Apple.
But given the insistence of the rumour mill, it seems likely that the cheaper handset — the iPhone 5C, if you will — could be just round the corner. Not long until we find out! [Sina Tech]
