This Simple Chart Is A Brilliantly Minimal Perpetual Calendar

Designer Ilya Birman has come up with what has to be one of the most elegant, minimal perpetual calendars we’ve ever laid eyes on — at least compared to other creations which tend to look like hideous sudoku puzzles.

Birman’s simple sheet of numbers features a sliding frame that highlights the dates for a given month. And how do you distinguish the days of the week? That red stripe indicates the weekends, making it easy to visually spot the dates for Monday to Friday.

Sadly, Birman’s expertise in graphic design doesn’t extend past the digital realm. So you can’t purchase his Forebruary calendar, but you can play around with that fun sliding frame on his website. And hopefully there’s someone out there who can help Ilya make this calendar more than just a digital design. [Ilya Birman via swissmiss]
