ABC Confirms No Early iView For Doctor Who

DAMMIT. I'M GOING TO GO CRY IN A CORNER NOW.

The ABC has confirmed to Gizmodo that it won't be following last year's pattern of showing Doctor Who early on iView as soon as it finishes airing in the UK. Instead, we're told,

ABC iview will be screening the normal catch-up for this half of Doctor Who, Series 7. So an hour after the ABC1 transmission it will be up on ABC iview (20.30 EST Sunday nights.)

I'm still happy that they're showing Doctor Who on free to air TV faster than they ever have before — and if you were a fan of the classic series, you'll know exactly how delayed that could be, once upon a time — but I can't help but blubber more than a bit. This clip feels appropriate. Now, if you'll excuse me...

Good luck avoiding those online spoilers sweeties!

I'm switching the Internet off that day. And I don't mean just me. I'm coming at it with an axe, just to be sure.

I saw an ad on Foxtel yesterday saying that Showcase is going to be airing Game of Thrones 2 hours after it has aired in the US.

that's probably in response to GoT being the most pirated show in australia.

how many hundreds of hours are they talking about?
      the usual 240 or so?

just use Hola unblocker and bbc iplayer

Sounds like a plan. One question. How long after airing does it come available on BBC iPlayer?

I WILL NOT BE TORRENTING THIS

FreeNAS + Sickbeard + SABNZBD = Internet PVR

i watched almost every episode on iview last season.
im disappointed that this great initiative has died.
