This Is Objectively The Worst Logo For Anything

Have you ever heard of Highlight? I hope the answer is no, because incoherent "social" app has a logo that's so horrible it will actually give you a headache. A physical headache, in your head. It's dangerously bad.

TechCrunch says the app — which is a mish mosh of social bullshit, allowing you to tag people, highlight things, upload photos, geo-kiss your mother, I don't even know — is making "Another Bid For SoLoMo Supremacy". Do you know what that means? I hope the answer to that is also no, because it means nothing. It means absolutely nothing.

It means absolutely. Nothing.

But even if it did mean something, this app has screwed itself into a position worse than hell's lake of fire, because it's covered with a logo that actively makes you want to look away from it. Even the app's icon is retina-offensive. If you are ever thinking of designing an app, or a website, or literally anything, make sure it doesn't look like someone welded 3D glasses to your face and them bombarded you with gamma rays. clearly their graphic designer is of the print variety.. any web or screen based designer knows cmyk colours on screen burn eye sockets out.

The app description say's "**Named one of Gizmodo's "Best iPhone Apps"**" Awkward for you.

I think this is worse then staring into a Nintendo 3DS' screen with the 3D effect turned all the way up.

I have epilepsy. Looking at that actually felt like it was bringing on a seizure. Wow, who's the fucktard who came up with that idea...

Its surprising that there is little consideration to those with epilepsy when it comes to video (tv shows with incessant bright flashing lights in an otherwise dark room) and things like this logo.

Actually there are regulations in place that limit the intensity and frequency of sudden colour changes in television commercials, and television shows too (i think). Not sure about movies.

Doesn't seem like it, perhaps it wont induce a seizure, but it sure as hell seems like they could.

Esp in movies, like the first minute of the new total recall.

If I look through the very bottom of my glasses I can get the colours to merge under the black.

Nice use of subtractive colouring. I'm torn on this logo: sure it breaks every rule of effective logo design, but in doing so it almost becomes effective.

I spent a half hour trying to re-align my CRT's electron guys because of that stupid logo ;-)

Yeah that really is terrible. Although some of these:

    ...

Where can I get that font from? I want to write all my documents and emails with it if possible!

They just got their logo splashed onto at least 2 of the worlds biggest tech sites, from their point of view they have already won. It reminds me of looking through plate glass on its end. Attention grabbing?? Certainly. Nice to look at? hmmmm.

I like it.. but only on a home page.. i don't wanna keep looking at it..

Bout the same quality as Gizmodo's English skills, I'd say.

Sorry, what was that word you started your critique of someone's English with..?
