The History Of The Photograph In A Facebook Timeline

What does a photograph mean to you today? Maybe an Instagram pic shot with your iPhone, or a Facebook group photo taken with a point-and-shoot, or perhaps a DSLR-taken, Flickr-uploaded portrait. But what was it before? Kodak? Polaroid? This Facebook Timeline shows you the life of a photograph, from its origins all the way to the present day.

The first pinhole camera made in 1000AD started the whole photo rage, but it didn't blow up until it married Kodak. 35mm film followed, then digital, then cameraphones, then Facebook. It's an interesting life! Check it out here:

"Iphone - This phone is a leader in its field, fuelling the creation of other smartphones".

So there were no smartphones before the iphone?

There were smartphones before iphone, there were tablets before ipad, mp 3 players before ipod but none of these devices took off like the i devices have and think thats the point they were trying to get across.

Smart phones prior to iPhone were pretty shit to say the least. iPhone made it a game again.
