Imagine the entire fuselage of a twin-engine Boeing CH-47 Chinook helicopter crashing right in front of you. This is exactly what happened when a Sikorsky CH-53E Super Stallion lost the Chinook it was carrying.

It didn't drop in front of anyone at all.... it dropped to an empty feild.

so what exactly was the Chinook doing on the ground anyway? It appeared to have been completely stripped down
I'm certainly no expert on this kind of thing, but i can't help feel that the heli pilot was traveling waaay to fast for a swinging load to remain stable.
That was a deliberate drop. There appeared to be no engines in that Chinook or windows. If deliberate why aim for that property in the middle of no where with a compound of nice white walls and green fields. Its looks odd.
