Pedobear Problem Plagues Nestle Australia

Oh Pedobear. Always causing trouble. This time Pedobear is giving Nestle Australia and New Zealand grief, after the company was forced to take down an image that resembled the creepy internet mascot.

The Age reports that the an image posted to the Kit Kat Australia Facebook fan page featured a furry mascot that looked quite a lot like Pedobear. Take a look at the image and decide for yourself.

Whether it resembled Pedobear or not, Nestle took the image down and apologised, saying that it had no idea who Pedobear was before the promo image went up.

Whoops. [The Age]

    ahahahaha the Internets is leaking!

Sorry, but that costume in the image even though it looks quite badly made, looks like it was probably made to resemble him exactly! Too many resembling features for it to be a coincidence.

Maybe the suit was missing the label: 'Malicious Kiddie Molesting Bear Costume' when Nestle
    hired it?

I have one of there costumes, myself. It's not the most faithful - the colour is lighter; nose is larger; eyes are smaller and it has a long tail (pedobear has a stub for a tail). These were advertised as pedobear costumes by some Chinese eBay sellers at some point in time, but I think all sellers have now distanced themselves from that association and have simply sold them as generic cute bear costumes.

How did nobody, in the process of this picture being published, say "hey that looks like that child molesting bear from the internet that almost everyone knows about"?

They have replace the photo with "Sexual harassment panda."

The late show Abc “Sexual harassment panda.” = win

That is the best Kit Kat advertisement in the history of mankind.
