I’m a sucker for these multiple-track videos. This guy is Nick McKaig, and he’s extremely good at reproducing soundtracks with his voice. Here’s the proof: The Simpsons‘ theme sung a capella. It’s sounds so good and wacky that I like it better than the original.
According to Nick, he “had to write out the entire orchestration from a recording and perform every part, which ended up being over 30! The violin runs were the most fun to record.” So good! [Thanks Karl!]

Thursday, February 2, 2012 at 10:47 AMThe Simpson’s lost it’s gloss for me a couple of years ago, I blame Channel 10 for repeating it Ad nauseam! But I actually watched this right through, lot of work, well done!

Thursday, February 2, 2012 at 5:30 PMseason 22 was fricken awesome. after boring seasons of 20 and 21 and a pretty lack lustre seasons 11-20, i was ready to give up and not even bother downloading em.
but season 22 was just amazing, also season 23 is pretty good. my fav being the xmas/future episode.
i think if there is anything the Simpsons needs its allowing the characters to grow older. which is what appears to be the case.

Thursday, February 2, 2012 at 8:40 PMagreed, it is really agitating and non musical. i think the problem with it is that it sounds bad, in other words it is offensive to the ears.

Monday, February 6, 2012 at 2:10 PM@Rowan, how is this terrible?? the dude has made an effort to create music by playing each part of an instrument as the way they would sound… at least he made some hard work more than many artists nowadays would do
