Pro tip: When you decide to recolour the hair of a model on your clothing website, ensure all the layers are visible when you save the picture for use on the internet. Otherwise, you’ll end up looking as stupid as the designers of this online shop.
This is one of the best posts I’ve seen over at Photoshop Disasters. Who knows, maybe this woman does have white and grey hair that’s so neatly patterned. Somehow I doubt it, though. Sadly the image has been removed from US store J.Crew’s website, but here’s a screenshot for posterity’s sake. [Photoshop Disasters via Neatorama]

Sunday, February 5, 2012 at 10:52 AMI think she looks pretty funky, but what happens with the pattern when the wind is blowing through her hair?

Sunday, February 5, 2012 at 11:52 AMHow the fuck does that happen? Do they not even look at what they’re saving, uploading, or displaying?

Sunday, February 5, 2012 at 11:16 PMIn those sorts of Graphic art jobs you have hundreds of pics like that to go through, it’s easier than you think o make stupid mistakes and then just completely miss it as you go straight onto the next bazillion almost identical jobs in the pile.

Sunday, February 5, 2012 at 2:58 PMHow does that happen since Photoshop doesn’t save the checker board pattern?

Sunday, February 5, 2012 at 9:26 PMDoes anyone have any idea what a “clut classic” is?
A little heavy on the transparency layer at the hairdressers, I reckon.
Either that, or some really freaky balding pattern.

Monday, February 6, 2012 at 9:24 AMIt’s a new shampoo I think, makes your hair so clean it becomes transparent
doubtful
Monday, February 6, 2012 at 4:25 PMThis is totally fake. Only way this could happen is if they took a screenshot and uploaded that. Highly doubtful since product imagery is usually uploaded as a large image.

Monday, February 6, 2012 at 4:38 PMWell they still haven’t fixed it. If you go to the website:
http://www.jcrew.com/womens_feature/NewArrivals/blazersandvests/PRDOVR~71042/71042.jsp
And hover the last one on the far right of the thumbnails, it’s showing JUST her hair!
