Singapore’s Marina Bay Sands hotel is home to one of the most-photographed and internet-beloved swimming pools on the planet. It’s atop a massive tower and looks seamless, like a levitating mirror. So why not leap off off it?

Not only is this BASE jumping expedition one of the craziest I’ve seen, the video is easily the most beautiful; Singaporean haze, alien architecture, that fantastically indulgent pool, and people slowly dropping through the air. It’s almost enough to make me try it myself! Or just sit in the pool. [Snow R. Shai via Architizer]

Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at 1:56 PMWow a video that you can’t seek. Real classy act to make people watch all the buildup wankery before the actual jump.

Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at 2:36 PMWhats with the arrogance man? Be thankful they did the research and found something interesting to post. You could at least say thanks and make a simple suggestion / reminder so they can improve for next time, instead of having a tantrum about it.
Seriously, the attitude that people have these days is appalling.
ps. Thanks Giz :P

Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at 4:26 PMYou have to be a hotel guest to use the pool. Anyone can take in the view from the observation deck for $20 but the pool is closed off to the public. When I was there last year my palms got sweaty anytime I went anywhere near the glass barrier. It’s a bloody long way up (or down depending on your perspective)!
