Would You Live In This Wooden Box?

I like the simplicity of this house. It’s just one gigantic 208-square-metre box made of wood. With some windows that frame nature perfectly. And a lap pool. In a perfect 22-acre site on a hill overlooking the Russian River Valley, California.

Designed by Dowling Studios, the house is also energy efficient, certified Plantinum level in the USGBC LEED for Homes program. [ArchDaily]

Heh make the awning a little longer, put hydraulic rams on it so it can close down over the front and you have the makings of a zombie-proof box as well =D

No Need. Just extend the pool all round into a moat.

I’ve seen enough plants vs zombies to know that zombies can swim

Don’t use water. Use something flammable. Though the wooden house is now out of the question…
