This is the newest Chinese drone. It seems much more advanced than what anyone imagined. Apparently, Bruce Wayne is now working for the Chinese military, which is hard at work trying to match the US industry capabilities. They’re getting close.
And that’s without getting their hands on the RQ-170 Sentinel that went down in Iran.
They seem to be working in two variants of this drone. The first one is called Crossbow and it looks designed to be stealthy. The second is called Wing Blade — pictured here — and adds extended wings and winglets.
There’s no more information about the drone, but I will not be surprised to see it flying in a few years. [Sinodefence via Flight Global]

Yeah, it’s a stealth drone, so maybe not, eh?

Wednesday, December 7, 2011 at 1:07 PMThe US does have its problems, especially visible on the outside, but it’s actually a pretty fantastic place when you’re inside the bubble- everything (EVERYTHING) is cheaper and more available, people are friendly and helpful, they get most tech stuff, movies and games first, there’s more life and fun there…
But their military IS pretty insane.

Wednesday, December 7, 2011 at 2:23 PMDo yourself and everyone else and leave you whinger. What country is better than Australia? I’m from a migrant background (not anglo) and I can tell you this country is awesome. If you can nominate your preferred country to migrate to then let us know. I hope you make serious plans to leave you disaffected twat.

Wednesday, December 7, 2011 at 6:27 PMI’m of a non-anglo migrant background as well, and I just can’t understand why you’re promoting the whole ‘get out of this country if you have different opinions than me’ thing.
Ozoneocean is obviously just stating an opinion, and if you truly love Australia then you’d know that stating one’s opinion is to be respected in the highest capacity, and only criticised on levels that are constructive. What he’s saying does have some truth to it, their tech is immensely cheaper than ours, every country has its pros and cons. Stop being an uptight and unaccepting bigot and learn to respect other’s opinons.

Wednesday, December 7, 2011 at 2:23 PMLame… easy to copy a design and besides, any modern aeronautical engineer should be able to design such a plane. I bet even model airplane enthusiasts have dabbled with these designs with success. It’s the tech inside the plane and the military support systems that counts.

Friday, December 9, 2011 at 2:33 AMAn airframe is almost nothing to do with the success of a plane….
It is what you do with the airframe that counts, O F, RC modellers can get nearly any design flying…. that’s easy. (not necessarily easy to control it at Mach 3, but then RC isn’t about 3M (nor are these drones…))
Even stability and guidance isn’t hard to do (not for a country, even Australia could get that up, if the money was there), there are loads of off the shelf packages that will do that…
Electronic warfare, and countermeasures is the part which needs to be changing all the time, to stay in front of the competition…
Note, US and Britain, usually go to war against Non Technological countries, and-or kill all of their Air defence first with AARGM, and SLCM , So often technology and Detectability has not been so important, but who is the enemy China needs to keep an eye on, ? ?US ? India, so its needs may actually be more acute than that of the USA.
See what happens when the US fly their tech in a country with Air defense (Iran) they get shot down
(they denied of course, Which is a confirmation of Sorts.)
Cheers.
PS. I Love my country for what it is, but an no nationalistic Bigot.
