Turn An Original Xbox Into A Hackintosh

Gizmodo AU

Some hacking projects advance our understanding of how things work, or how to make them work better. Others are just… well… because they could. I’d put this particular hack, turning an original Xbox into a hackintosh, into that second category.

Instructables has the guide you need to transform an old Xbox into a Hackintosh. It’s just occurred to me that I think I’ve got an original Xbox gathering dust somehwere. Hmmm… [Instructables]

Kind of useless. It’s not installing onto the xbox hardware itself. The guy just put some PC parts in an xbox case and then installed OSX onto that.

by this logic, I could turn a cereal box into a hackintosh, just by stuffing a bunch of pc components inside.

I like this mans logic… SOMEONE GET HIM A CEREAL BOX!

This article really needs the title “Put a hackintosh in an xbox case”

Why not just buy an old G3 case and put this sort of board inside there – cool looking Mac + intel – and then you could even vaguely call it legal.

I have a broken eMac in the shed, it’d be cool to revive that with an Intel board.

    Reminds me of ‘Hackintosh-in-a-Box’
Blokes built one in a hurry, chucking all the bits they needed into a cardboard box
