Looks like the final of the big three telcos has finally got its paperwork signed up, as Optus has just announced that it’ll sell the iPad 2 “soon”. How soon is “soon”? Optus isn’t saying exactly — all they’d confirm to me is that it should be before Christmas.
The iPad 2, whenever it arrives, will join the Dell Streak 7 and Acer Iconia A501 in Optus’ contract arsenal. Optus representatives weren’t clear whether they’d also offer the Wi-Fi only iPad 2 as well. Optus will join Vodafone and Telstra, both of whom already have iPad 2 contract offerings.
