Lining up for an iPhone 4S tomorrow morning? Think fast! Gizmodo has organised with Vodafone for two Giz readers from Sydney, and two from Melbourne to get the VIP treatment: you’ll be able to jump the queue, and ensure you’re able to purchase an iPhone 4S on launch day.

Annnd the witty winners are:
MELBOURNE
Monica & Amarjit (pictured with her new iPhone 4S)
SYDNEY
Zara & Blake
Congrats guys. Send us pics!
So yep, that means you’ll still need to buy the iPhone 4S yourself (and deal with any contract stuff) like you were already planning to. We’ll try to do an actual giveaway in the future, and open it up to everyone, not just Sydneysiders and Melbournians.
View Vodafone’s 12 month and regular iPhone 4S plans.
So what do you need to do?
Tell us in 25 words or less below why you deserve the slot. Perhaps you’ve got an appointment? Perhaps you really hate lines. Perhaps you’ve sworn not to sleep until you can roll over and wish Siri goodnight (OK, that last one would be weird).
Judging
I’m looking for the best/funniest/most-interesting reasoning you can muster. I’ll sit down with a beer at 10:00pm AEST tonight (13/10/11) and review your witty banter, then use the email address you’ve used when leaving your comment to reach you before you retire for beauty sleep. If you don’t respond to my email by 11pm, I’ll move on to the next best entry. Full details will be provided in that email, but please take note that:
Conditions
Winners will need to arrive tomorrow (Friday, 14th October) at the following locations by 7:45am AEST and introduce themselves to staff/persons instructed and present photo ID.
Sydney store: 287 George Street, Sydney
Melbourne store: D215 VF & 3 Elizabeth Street (Shop 5, 92-94 Elizabeth Street, Melbourne)
Full terms and conditions can be viewed here.
For the general public, Vodafone queuing starts at 6am and stores open at 8am. Thankfully, you’ll get to avoid most of the waiting! In Sydney, Vodafone will have live DJs and a bunch of celebrity guests, so I’m sure there’ll be enough going on to keep you entertained.
Bit of a lightning competition guys, but hopefully worth staying up for!

Thursday, October 13, 2011 at 8:01 PMHi guys
I have always got the iPhone on the first day of its launch ever since the iPhone 3G and tomorrow was going to be no different until I found out yesterday that I have to go for a job interview at 8:30 am and there is no way I can miss it. Can I please get the VIP treatment and have an iPhone 4S waiting for me when I get to the store after my interview. I am afraid by the time I get there all the iPhones will be sold out and I will have to wait for the first time :(
Cheers!!

No one is just going to hold an iPhone for you until after your interview that starts at 8:30… the deal is to meet a staff member at 7:45 and start at the start of the queue.
