Neiman Marcus’ annual Christmas catalogue is known for its one-of-a-kind, obscenely expensive gift ideas. And this year they’re offering the rare opportunity to gift a pair of dancing fountains designed exclusively for your home by the same people who built the Bellagio’s waterworks.
Based out of Sun Valley, California, WET has actually created animated fountains all over the world, including the world’s largest in Dubai. They’re of course best known for the extravaganza that entertains visitors to the Las Vegas strip, and for a cool million dollars they’ll create a private, scaled down version for one lucky over-privileged couple. Even spending that much money is only going to get you a pair of the company’s underwater robotic nozzles, programmed to create a dancing water display that whirls, sweeps and bows, presumably in sync to Celine Dion. But you can feel less guilty about wasting so much money and water, since Neiman Marcus promises to donate $US10,000 of your payment to Water.org.

For just half a million dollars you’ll get to be a guest choreographer for the Bellagio’s fountains, working with people who actually know what they’re doing to co-create a piece that will be put in to rotation at the casino. They’ll even put you up in one of their fancy suites and wine, dine and entertain you before its big premiere.
