That’s right. You don’t have to spend hundreds of dollars to upgrade your iPhone 4 to the iPhone 4S. Just buy this special kit. It is just $US0.99! It’s easy. Here’s how:

1. Buy sticker.
2. Peel off the sticker.
3. Apply carefully on the back of your iPhone.

Done! Enjoy.

How about giving me a sticker for iPhone 5? I can just claim that this is the iPhone 5 Prototype disguised as iPhone 4. Can get some curious eyes to look “5″ and go crazy..

I usually hate iPhones and this has been the first I’ve seriously considered buying. It’s a good piece of kit, the wireless mirroring is a killer feature, and people are crying because… it doesn’t look different? It’s not as good a status symbol? If you look at a phone as a phone, the 4S is a Galaxy S II with a heftier price tag and some nifty extra features. And DRM. Lots of DRM.

and no removable/upgradable battery, and no expandable storage, and a smaller screen, and it’s heavier, and thicker… yeah, heaps like an SGSII

Who wants removable batteries unless your battery dies quickly? Who needs removable, volatile, security-risk, and slower microSDs when you can get 64GB fast, secure, internal memory? Who wants a giant screen that barely fits in your hand, yet with a much worse picture display and DPI? Who wants a POS plastic, battery-draining, laggy, lacking in quality apps, malware-abundant, crappy camera SGSII? Oh, you do. how’s your crappy iPhone clone going?

You’ve never used an Android before, have you K?

Removable batteries are great for business use, power users or even when your phone has hit that year mark where you just think it’s time to replace it with a new one. I remember Gizmodo or the Register having a piece about the first noticeable loss of battery life is after around 2 months. Powerful smart phones, in an effort to be actually usable as a phone, generally need to be light, which can mean cuts to the battery.

Why do you need fast access to memory anyway? What killer app could you possibly need that couldn’t go onto removable memory? I know if my android dies, I can remove my SIM and Micro SD and chuck that in any other phone and pick up where I left off, if I get the same phone, I can have two batteries too!

Some of your other arguments are more directed at Android at general, which is why I don’t think you’ve used one. As far as malware goes, it’s probably about the same as a Mac now that it has the online software store. You, the user, still has the ability to install stuff to screw shit up by installing stuff you shouldn’t or without reading reviews to determine suitability.

I tell ya, I don’t miss having to use iTunes to organise my data. I have a file manager built into my phone. I can change my ringtone to whatever I want almost instantly. Widgets mean not having to open a bajillion app lists to get to the one I want.

My phone works like my PC, and that works for me.

Lol, this is funny, but that sticker isn’t going to upgrade your CPU to that dual core A5 monster :P

Nope, it won’t upgrade to a “A5 monster”. It will however upgrade you to an underclocked A5 which will provide little practical difference to the user experience except in a few restricted circumstances.

I’m deathly curious how many people would notice the performance difference between A4 and A5 using the apps they’re running now in a blind trial. I’m guessing none or very few.

Even the 4S-exclusive Siri worked perfectly fine on the IP4 before Apple pulled it from the appstore in time for the 4S’s launch.

I don’t remember this much fuss when they brought out the 3Gs… I mean really… it’s a bit soon to bring out the 5… I was one of the first to have the 4 and if they had already brought out the 5 I would have been piiiiiiiiissed offffff.

@k, your comment sounds like a run off the mill troll. Do not decide that it is the general consensus that everyone wants non rmovable battery, larger screen. Btw s2′s amoled is voted by engadget to be superior than iphone 4. Also the s3 that is coming up would hve greater dpi than iphone.
