That’s exactly what happened to an unidentified Cult of Mac tipster: He went to an Apple Store to fix his Time Capsule and walked out with a hard drive full of top secret Apple documents. How could this happen?
When he came back to pick up his Time Capsule, the Apple Store Genius gave him a fixed Time Capsule alongside the hard drive that was replaced. In theory, the old hard drive was broken, but when he arrived home he connected it to his computer and discovered that it was a working drive that contained a full Time Machine backup of that Apple Store’s server. Inside, the drive is packed with confidential documents going from late 2009 to May 2011:
confidential docs, internal manuals, Apple’s sales technics, an Apple store work checklist, products layout, time schedules, pictures and videos of Apple corporate activities that only Apple employees can see, videos of store meetings, business structure and much much much more.
These geniuses don’t really seem too smart to me. The man offered the hard drive to Cult of Mac for money, but they declined the offer. However, they got some more screenshots of the Finder, showing some documents. [Cult of Mac]

Saturday, September 3, 2011 at 4:19 PMReally? The first person he offers to sell it to is the ‘Cult of Mac’? The very same site that idolises the very ground Steve Jobs walks on? What an idiot.
Why not take it up with Gizmodo ($5000 cool with you bro?), Samsung or even Wikileaks?
