Vodafone’s already got a reputation for having inexpensive wireless data, but this deal makes it even cheaper, especially as it includes either a USB Modem ($24.50) or Wi-Fi Hotspot ($39.50). Simply entering ‘HALFOFF’ when purchasing either a USB Modem or Wi-Fi Hotspot will, not shockingly, halve the asking price. Both come with 5GB of included data with a 30-day expiry; while Vodafone’s network hasn’t been the shiniest in recent months, that’s still a good whack of temporary use data if you needed it. Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at 1:55 PMI grabbed one of the PocketWifi devices on a similar sale from Vodafone and I have to say I’m impressed at how good it’s been. I’m not a fan of Vodafail at all but it’s gotten me through a house move around the Melbourne area with ease. Especially as it can be unlocked free with a few basic tech skills! Couples up well with Woolworths Mobile 4GB Data @ $27 with Everyday Discount ;)

Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at 9:05 PMTo be honest, even though I spent most of last year bagging out vodafone to anyone that would listen. The network has really improved in the last few months, Im constantly getting around 2.5Mbps whenever I check.
Though maybe that’s because so many people defected to the other networks and freed up space for me and my phone.

Thursday, September 29, 2011 at 12:09 PMWhy would I use a Vodafone wireless card? Sure it’s cheap but why pay money for a service that probably won’t work.
We were using Vodafone wireless at work – no connectivity in Canberra, Perth or Darwin CBDs and limited connectivity in suburban Brisbane, Adelaide, Sydney, Melbourne. Even in the the capital cities where we get get a signal, there are lots of dead spots.
