MobileMe Users Get 25GB Free iCloud Storage Until June 2012

There are all sorts of goodies coming out of the iCloud developer build that arrived this weekend, the first being news that MobileMe customers transitioning to the service will receive 25GB of storage space once the service launches.

Says Mac Rumors, Apple has confirmed MobileMe users will automatically get this upgrade, which is comprised of the 5GB freebie all iCloud users will receive, plus the additional 20GB tier at no extra charge. That plan was previously reported to be about $US40/year for “normal” (i.e. non-MobileMe) customers.

Unfortunately, the plan has an end date, that being June 2012, at which time normal pricing will most definitely go into effect (unless you cancel before then). [Mac Rumors]

Well it is not FREE then is it. Windows Live has had real FREE 25gb for the last two years. Why bother with rotten fruit.

I think Apple should just let MM users have 25GB for good instead of giving it a shelf life
