PSN Welcome Back Package Went Live Over The Weekend

Gizmodo AU

PS3 owners who have been chomping at the bit to download their free copy of Infamous as part of the gaming company’s “Welcome Back” offer, the games went live over the weekend. Better get downloading!

To download the free games, you first need to download the “Welcome Back” application – which takes a matter of seconds to download – before you can download your games.

Remember, game file sizes are pretty large, so it may be best to schedule this to download during off-peak times.

Done and done. I think I clocked 16GB over the 6 hours of off-peak time, but I’m not complaining about free stuff.

How can anyone be happy with this offering? Sony better pull something out of their hat at E3 to smooth things over.

Just be careful you don’t exit the store to clear additional space after getting the offer…. I did, and now no free games for me. Its locked me out of the offer :(

I got the same with one of the games, do this:

Log into your PlayStation Network account and choose Account Management > Transaction Management > Services List

      3. Choose “SCEA Promotions” from the list of services displayed

      4. Select either “PS3 Free Games” or “PSP Free Games” and then choose “Select Content”

Try signing in, then go to ‘Account Management’, then ‘Transaction Management’, then scroll down to ‘Services List’. You should see Playstation Network promotions listed and from there you can choose your 2 free games.
