Every A380 Flight Should Be Accompanied By Acrobatic Jets

This is the world’s largest passenger aircraft flying in formation with the Breitling Jet Team as part of the run up to the 2011 Paris Air Show.

I love the fact that Breitling have an acrobatic team, but it does also explain one of the reasons why they want to charge me so much for their watches.

Yes how fustrating! A watch maker who makes watches primarily for aviation use sponsors a jet team.

Aerobatic, not acrobatic. acrobatic is what gymnasts are.

It would have been better if one of the fighter jets:

    a) Landed on the A380
    b) Did some sort of barrel roll around the A380
    c) Shot down the A380

I worked at the Paris Air show a few years ago, only discovering after my rather naive arse was onsite that rather than being about showing the general public a few tricks and loop the loops, the actual purpose is basically to for Western weapon contractors to sell jets, helicopters, guns and missile defence systems etc to the dictatorships and US backed reigimes of Africa and the Middle East for 5 days, THEN do some loop the loops for the public for a day. Hmmmm.

Much as I like Breitling, that wasn’t a patch on a Virgin Atlantic 747 in formatation with the Red Arrows, 500ft over Biggin Hill.
