If you were following our coverage of Aussie independent horror film The Tunnel and its official Bittorrent release, but felt guilty about downloading the movie for free, you can now get it officially through iTunes in iPad app format.
Costing $12.99 – significantly cheaper than other movie apps from the likes of Warner Bros – the app includes a full-length version of the film, plus information on the cast and crew, exclusive behind the scene extras and a gallery of images from the film.

Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at 6:17 PMAll the hooplah about this project is beginning to sound like hot air to me. Has there actually been any confirmation that the movie is decent? Or is it just an experiment to see if this sort of distribution method works?

Thursday, June 9, 2011 at 7:49 AMThis thing is stupid! The new Cloud by Apple will put this MoPix distribution process out of business in a month. And they’re not really doing anything new as several other platforms already do it. It’s all just hype!

Friday, June 17, 2011 at 10:51 AMAh, watch the movie it’s avilable free and then comment about it. It’s friggin awesome!!! Really tense, great acting, andthe tunnels are amazing. I thought it was going to be a piece of crap mates running around with handy cams type movie but it is really slick and well made. I almost think they sold themselves short – the movie deserves to be in cinemas! And the making of documentary is one of the best indie filmmaking docos I’ve ever seen.

Friday, August 5, 2011 at 9:25 AMI have to agree with the others…there’s been alot of hype surrounding this film mainly because of its marketing & backers who got them deals &/or they also offered it to free to companies in return for sponsorship which anyone in the industry can do with something half decent. Problem being, this one just isn’t! I would be embarrassed to have created such high expectations without delivering. If I was a partner, I would pull out. Weak acting, storyline adapted as an excuse for poor camerawork and lack of budget to access good cinematography. Disjointed & quite frankly BORING and lacks good execution. Next time, put your money where your mouth is. They are relying far too much on advertising than on the film itself which says something about the producers. What are they trying to prove or who are they trying to impress? One can only guess…
