Apple Delaying Hardware Refreshes Until Lion Release

AppleInsider reports that Apple executives are so stoked on Lion that they’re delaying the release of the much anticipated MacBook Air refresh (as well as others like Time Capsule, Mac Mini and Cinema Display) until the Lion is unleashed. [AppleInsider]

    …as I talk myself in from a ledge to concider it properly, it does make sense. The altenative would be to offer free Lion upgrades to avoid an inevitable backlash. This would be confusing to users and would somewhat dilute the impact of the (re)launch.. Also, offering free pussy is really not within the Apple morality guidelines.

    In an alternate universe however, they may be toying with the idea of a Llano (AMD) powered device. The numbers being shuffled about look very promising for this exact class of device, it would be a shame if every competitor was in a position to offer a better, more capable device with a better user experience with a longer battery life to boot. It would however mean that they’d have to forgo thunderlightningpeakbolt display option.. also confusing and doesn’t tie in to a simultaneous monitor release very well.

    Lion costs like 30 bucks ? Its not really a massive amount of money. Compare it to Windows I reckon they are being quite fair.
