Virgin has just dragged its $29 Big Cap 29 from post paid to prepaid. The new Prepaid option includes $450 worth of talk and text, including unlimited calls between Virgin Mobile numbers, 200MB of data and the ability to rollover unused credit to the following month should you recharge in time. Not bad. [Virgin Mobile]

Rates seem identical to the existing $29 “Big Cap”, except with rollover!

Monday, April 4, 2011 at 4:44 PMNot that I am affiliated with TPG whatsoever, but TPG offers 1Gb of data, and $700 worth of calls and texts for only $18.99 if you are not a TPG broadband customer or $14.99 if you are. I’d say that’s a much better deal? And the best thing is that they don’t lock you in with a contract.

Monday, April 4, 2011 at 5:38 PMDon’t mean to nitpick, but in regards to that TPG plan you mention, Mark, i would personally look at it as $330 worth of calls as the $700 is made up of ‘bonus credit’ to other tpg mobiles. It IS a fantastic deal though, i’ve just changed too it.
My only worry is that it excludes calls to 13/1300/1800/190 numbers.

Monday, April 4, 2011 at 10:38 PMThat’s a bummer, I’m paying double that just for 1.5GB of data I hardly use.
