Rumour: Samsung Will Have A 2GHz Dual-Core Phone Next Year

A Samsung rep has been caught claiming that they are “planning to release a 2GHz dual-core CPU-equipped smartphone by next year”, adding that “this product will have the data processing capacities of a regular PC”. Not only does Samsung plan on using these chips in their own smartphones, they’re also hoping to sell the components to other manufacturers as well.

If you thought this current crop of dual-core phones were well-equipped for mobile gaming, then imagine what Samsung’s forthcoming chips are capable of. Vroooom! [Daum via Yahoo]

It only indicates that buyers of the GS2 will be smeart again: G Tab fell 70% in price within a half year! guess ! Instead to put efforts on the software, KIES is still the biggest crap ever produced, we will end up like the “Printer Market”:
2 Years ago you paid for a reasonable printer $200 to $300, recently seen for $49, but the first ink replacement cost you threefold the hardware price.
We consumer should stop them producing faster and faster hardware, leaving the software behind and dumping the value of your high paid product.
How? – let them off for a time their products
and don’t follow the stupid “must have” !
the only one who has the power to put the relation value product service (software) in a balance,is the consumer.

I find this really stupid. They just keep rolling out new phones with new hardware while spending almost no effort on the software part. This just makes the fragmentation of the Android platform worse. They’re rolling out new products like crazy purely for competition instead of providing better software support for their current devices which is what the consumers really want.
