White iPhone Coming Within Weeks, Says Apple’s Phil Schiller

Isn’t Twitter wonderful? Not only is it the perfect medium to broadcast your breakfast preferences, it’s also wielded by attention-hungry company execs who occasionally let the odd tidbit of news slip out.

Case in point, Apple’s senior vice president of worldwide product marketing Phil Schiller, who replied to a question about the white iPhone’s availability, commenting, “the white iPhone will be available this [northern]spring (and it is a beauty!)”.

No word on whether that’s going to be the iPhone 4, or if they’ll just skip that version and debut the white iPhone option with June’s expected release of the iPhone 5. With spring turning into summer in the northern hemisphere around mid-June, Apple’s going to have to hurry to make good on that promise. [Twitter via Engadget]
