Oh, it’s also just a crazy design over at Yanko, so there’s that dubious fact to add to the huge pile of doubt too.
Nevertheless, for a concept it’s entirely believable even if the sound and nuance of a string instrument is quite safe from touchscreen upheaval for the time being. Ke$ha will probably have it in one of her “concerts” soon. [Yanko via DVICE]

A guitar where you have to watch your hands the whole time because you can’t feel where the strings are…
I don’t think this will work… Clearly whoever designed this has failed in one fundamental thing – they don’t play guitar…

Monday, March 28, 2011 at 9:49 PMI wouldn’t bag this until i try it alot of people are afraid of new ideas and change. This design is awesome incorporates the future which is “Touch”. Its the same as an ordinary guitar when it comes to learning curves but this time you have to feel where it is without the guidance of strings and frets (A good guitarist would know where it is anyway even playing blindfolded). The idea of digitalising an instrument to be able to be customised is an awesome idea, no more wah-wah pedals.

Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at 7:47 AMIgnoring the fact that there have been digital guitars out for years (http://bit.ly/7U9P6), you’ll still need a Wah pedal. No computer can replace any expression pedal – it still needs manual input.
