First Major WP7 Update Has Begun

I know, I know. You got all excited about the last WP7 update, only to find that it was actually more of a pre-update. This time, though, the real deal is coming your way.

‘NoDo’ has started rolling out, bringing with it copy and paste, faster app loading and some other minor performance enhancements. Run! Go! Get to the Zune software and give that Windows handset its fancy new coat already! [ZDNet]

@Jitsu: Where are you? Is your HD7 unbranded?

I don’t get it. Which models of WP7 will be affected? My HTC 7 Mozart has never had any form of update alert.

@Anthony – you’ll have to sign in to Zune to get the update alert, and it doesn’t matter which model – that’s one of the benefits of the WP7 update system over Android’s – it goes to everyone, just like Windows would.

If you’re not getting update alerts in zune, you might have an issue with your region.

According to the ZDNet article it has only been released in parts of Europe. No sign of the update here in Australia on my HTC Mozart (yes I have signed into Zune).

I’m chasing this up now, but the general gist of it is that it will depend on carriers – Telstra this morning said at the HD7 launch that the mozart will get the update next week. Not sure about the LG or other carriers yet though…
