Whatever you thought you knew about laser tag has just been completely shattered. Because that game that came after the pizza party, and before the present opening at all the best eighth-grade birthday parties is long gone. Light Strike, its next-gen replacement, includes fingerprint ID, a range of weapon blasts, a health meter, limited ammo, a built-in target – even a grenade launcher and recoiling machine gun. WITH LASERS.
On sale later this year, but hopefully not too much later.

Thursday, February 17, 2011 at 4:12 PMLooks like a bit of a newer version of the LTTO rifle sets.
Except the LTTO sets had actual grenade launchers that fired big foam darts with the electronics built into them, and were triggered by impact with the floor.
And had a proper scope mount. And eventually, someone invested in an ultra cheap IR night vision scope, so he could see where everyone was shooting from. So we invested in IR illuminators, and left them dotted around the place as decoys.
Good times.
