Star Wars Blu-rays On Sale September 27, Says Amazon

According to the pre-order page on Amazon, the hugely anticipated Star Wars Blu-rays are being released on September 27, with the nine-disc boxset coating $US90. Only want the prequels? That’ll cost just $US45, sir. [Amazon via /Film]

    “Only want the prequels?”

Whoever only purchases the prequels from Amazon should get their IP address and contact details logged in some FBI database for the dangerously insane.

Of course, only want the originals without CGI or Greedo shooting second?

    Mr. Lucas says bend over.

Or the originals without Han stepping over Jabba’s tail, a random Jawa falling off some big lizard thing that’s not a taun taun, etc. The original originals were brilliant, the CGI originals are a huge step towards the lameness of the prequels. If that makes sense.

The Blu-rays should have the original cuts remastered to 1080p, but with no added scenes or extra CG etc… Oh well.. I’m guessing that’ll be his next release… where we once again… bend over.
