Simplistic Horodron Watch Concept Hides Subtle E-Ink Secret

Over at Yanko Design Jonathan Frey put on his thinking cap and created the Horodron. A concept for now, this simple e-ink watch will adorn wrists only if you ask really, really nicely. Hey, it’s happened before…

As a watch guy I have to say the black and white metal/chrome styling complements the e-ink face and calendar very nicely. The time is displayed in white along the bottom.

I approve, and actually prefer a simpler watch face to some of the convoluted stuff I’ve seen populating the men’s watch display cases as of late. Simple and sexy and not real—yet! [Yanko Design via technabob]

It says 2010 on the watch, I would assume thatis the year? @nd column from the right… The 0-129 stumps me though…

Quite sure that’s a D-129. Which indicates the day of the year… May 9 as the 129th day of the year.

May 9th is the 129th day of the year, so I’m assuming that’s what the 129 is. Still not sure what the 0 before that is though.

If you look at the ‘D’ in ‘SUNDAY’ I think it’s the same letter. Just looks an awful lot like the ’0′.
