HTC Legend Gets A Froyo Update

Gizmodo AU

This little bit of news slipped through the cracks while we were galavanting through Vegas last week, but HTC has released a Froyo update for the HTC Legend on Vodafone here in Australia.

If you want to get upgraded to the not-quite-latest version of Android on your Legend, click the link and follow the instructions. If you want an over the air upgrade, you’ll still have to wait a few weeks

[HTC - Thanks Matt!]

I did the upgrade last night, and it was reasonably seamless – though there’s a hidden gotcha: make sure your HTC Sync on your PC/Mac is the latest version before you attempt the upgrade! My HTC Sync was an older version and the Froyo upgrade kept failing with Error 171 before I upgraded.

Thanks for the pointer, Nick, I’ve been waiting a long time for this.

I was wondering if i do this update which is not a vodafone branded Legend, will it disrupt my usability with another carrier?
