It’s official. Daniel Craig will appear in his third James Bond film (the 23rd overall). The spy flick picks up where Quantum of Solace left off, and this time around Sam Mendes will direct, making it even more promising.
Mendes, who captained films such as American Beauty and Jarhead, was originally just an advisor, but is now in control of the latest 007 instalment, which has seen delays as of late for various reasons. The script is still heavily under wraps for the still-unnamed MGM film, but Deadline reports that they’ll begin shooting in early 2011, with the film expected in theatres by November 9, 2012.
In the mean time, can we start placing bets on the tech that will appear in this film? I’m guessing lots of Android-based products will surface. [Deadline]

Thursday, January 13, 2011 at 8:15 AMUgh, another sequel. Bring back the standalone Bond movies. Actually, bring back the Bond movies in General. The last two were action movies, not Bond movies (and don’t tell me they’re closer to the books – the movies are their own entity).

Thursday, January 13, 2011 at 9:33 AMIn the last one Bond drives Ford vehicles more than Aston martin. In this one he is going to ditch his Gadgets and he is going to become MacGyver.

Thursday, January 13, 2011 at 3:46 PMIt’s a trilogy hence why they’re making a third. Casino setup the characters, QoS gave the action and cliff hanger whilst the third will close it off. It will then go back to individual movies.
Regardless of that however they are both awesome movies and I enjoy Daniel Craig as bond immensely. One of if not my favourtie bond actors.

Thursday, January 13, 2011 at 4:53 PMAt least with Mendes you will be able to appreciate the work put into the film rather than the clusterf*** that was Quantum of Solace. The first action sequence was the worst example of choppy editing I have ever seen. I had no idea what was going on or who was doing what to whom.

Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at 6:34 PMArrrggghhh!!!! It’s the 24th Bond film, not the 23rd. I can understand not counting the 1966 Casino Royale as a true bond movie. But “Never Say Never Again” staring Sean Connery, really needs to be counted!
