Sigourney Weaver Talks Aliens With Gizmodo Australia

Gizmodo AU

She’s an actor’s actor, and she’s starred in some of the greatest science fiction films of all time. With the launch of the Alien Anthology boxed set of films on Blu-ray (don’t forget you can win it now right here) we sat down with Sigourney Weaver to talk about her experience working on the Alien series. From the ’70s to the ’90s, the technology of making films, particularly science fiction, changed dramatically.

How did that change the way actors had to work?

Alien Anthology Blu-ray is out now!

I sometimes forget just how fantastic Sigourney Weaver is. Without a doubt has to be my favorite female actor.
Seriously, Alien, Aliens, Alien3, Alien: Res, Ghostbusters, Ghostbusters 2, Galaxy Quest, Baby Mama. And shes played two ships computers in Wall E and Futurama!
While the more drama based films aren’t really my genre, there is no denying that she is a true master of her art.

Cool interview and good questions! You don’t get to ask Sigourney Weaver about technology every day. No wonder you had such a big grin on your face :)

Oh Sigourney, so classy. Without a doubt, possibly my favourite all-time actress, she’s like my female Harrison Ford. I can’t believe Giz was lucky enough for an interview!

Aliens (and to a lesser extent, Alien), Galaxy Quest and Wall-E are a few movies I regularly recycle in my DVD collection (sorry, was never a Ghostbusters guy :)

You know what would have been really awesome? If you would have gotten her to sign those boxsets you’re giving away.
