Google’s Nexus One handset has been available overseas (and locally via some clever retailers importing the device and reselling it), but so far it hasn’t been partnered with a mobile carrier. That’s all about to change, with Whirlpool user iJoseph_ being told via customer support that the telco is launching the handset in June.
There’s still no word on pricing or plans, but the support did say a launch date of mid to late June.
This could be a good option for anyone wanting the power of a Snapdragon powered HTC handset on a plan, but don’t want to go with Telstra and the Desire.

Wednesday, May 12, 2010 at 12:19 PMI’m skeptical about this, I work for Voda and we just had a roadshow telling us what phones were coming out over the next 6 months, and the Nexus One wasn’t, we even asked about it and there was no knowledge about it coming to VHA.
I think I’ll go with the word of our execs :)

Wednesday, May 12, 2010 at 2:41 PMSo was the HTC Legend on the list?
Michael
Wednesday, May 12, 2010 at 3:19 PMYeah the HTC Legend is definetly coming, from memory the important phones were Nokia N8, HTC Legend, Xperia X10 and Xperia X10 Mini. Then there was a range of lower end models that weren’t that great.
And yeah I’ll be the first to admit how bad our customer service is, we struggle with them as much as the customers do lol.

Wednesday, May 12, 2010 at 4:23 PMI thought Gizmodo reported news, not rumours. Until there is any official announcement this is meaningless.
